Gia Giudice woke up in the morning, thinking about one thing—defending her dad.
After Joe Gorga posted a video to Instagram, reuniting with his sister Teresa Giudice's ex-husband, Joe Giudice, Gia sounded off in the comment section.
"This is honestly comical knowing you were with him for not even 5 minutes and we're able to have somebody take a video of the interaction meanwhile all you have done is talked so poorly about my father," the 22-year-old wrote underneath the Feb. 19 video of the two embracing one another in the Bahamas. "You are such a opportunist to take advantage of the once in a lifetime opportunity to see my father and use it for a post."
Joe fired back, writing, "We both said horrible things about each other. It was a nice moment. We have a lot of history. Get the hate out of your heart."
The plot thickened as fans noticed that originally, Joe's clap-back was posted under his wife, Melissa Gorga's Instagram account, before it was deleted and re-posted under Joe's username.
However, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star explained the confusion as users accused her of writing the comment for her husband.
"That was actually Joe writing that," Melissa wrote on Instagram Feb. 19. "He had my phone in his hand and he didn't even realize he was writing it on my phone. I was showing him Gia's comment."
Joe's original post documented the run-in with his former brother-in-law, as he wrote, "Both walked into the same bar at the same time. A lot of history there. We have memories since we were kids. I'm happy he's doing well and looks good."
The 43-year-old added, "We were both happy to see each other and catch up. Glad someone caught it."
Meanwhile, not everyone saw a problem with the reunion, as Joe and Melissa's 17-year-old daughter Antonia commented, "So sweet."
Joe and Melissa, who have been married since 2004, are also parents to sons Gino, 15, and Joey, 12.
As for Joe Giudice, he was deported back to his native Italy after serving 41-months in prison for various fraud charges and now lives in the Bahamas, but has maintained a close relationship with his family back in the United States. Along with Gia, Joe and Teresa—who divorced after 20 years of marriage in 2020—share daughters Gabriella, 19, Milania, 17, and Audriana, 14.
And this isn't the first time Gia has come to her dad's defense against her uncle. On season 12, which aired in 2022, the college student and Joe got into a heated argument where Gia called him "disrespectful" for talking poorly about her father to the press.
One year later and the family rift is still in full effect as fans are seeing the feud play out on season 13, which is currently airing on Bravo. This time, Joe and Melissa chose to skip Teresa's wedding to Luis Ruelas in August and there has been no reconciliation since.
